SAP SCM PP Consultant

Job Summary: The SAP SCM PP professional is responsible for managing and optimizing the production planning and execution processes within the SAP system. They work closely with various teams to ensure the efficient utilization of resources and the timely delivery of products. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop, implement, and optimize production plans using SAP PP to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and ensuring product quality. 
•  Maintain and update master data related to production materials, resources, and work centers to support production planning and scheduling. 
•  Monitor and manage production capacities, ensuring that production lines and resources are utilized effectively and efficiently. 
•  Execute MRP runs to determine material requirements, create purchase requisitions, and schedule production orders based on demand forecasts and inventory levels. 
• Create and manage production orders, release them to the shop floor, and track their progress to ensure on-time delivery. 
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehousing, and quality control, to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues that may arise. 
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the production planning and execution process. 
• Customize and configure SAP PP modules to align with business requirements. 
• Create and maintain documentation related to production planning processes and SAP configurations. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or related discipline). 
• Proven experience in SAP SCM PP module implementation and support. 
• Strong understanding of production planning processes and concepts. 
• Knowledge of SAP integration with other SAP modules, such as MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), and WM (Warehouse Management). 
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve production planning issues. 
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with different teams and stakeholders. 
• Strong project management and organizational skills. 
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, is a plus. 
• SAP certification in SCM PP is preferred.
