Overview
As a System Engineer Level 1, you will play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency by supporting and assisting end users with application problems, system administration issues, and network concerns. You will diagnose, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve IT incidents reported by users, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process. Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Proficient in managing incidents related to Windows, MAC, and Linux platforms.
- Experience with Active Directory for user account management, password resets, and group creation.
- Strong knowledge of common office applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for network issues and ADSL broadband.
- Ability to provide basic in-house training and create support documentation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 environment with rotating shifts.
- A relevant IT certification is preferred.
Key Duties:
- Assist end-users with application problems and system issues via various communication channels.
- Log incidents in the Service Desk Call Logging system and ensure proper status tracking.
- Take ownership of user problems and provide timely updates on the status of incidents.
- Provide support for common off-the-shelf applications and troubleshoot operating system issues.
- Coordinate with global support teams to address resolution dependencies.
- Offer training and documentation for new applications introduced to the organization.
- Handle hardware support in collaboration with consultants across various platforms.
- Maintain inventory records of all IT assets.
Security and Incident Management:
- Be the first point of contact for security incidents and malware issues.
- Ensure a high degree of customer service for all support queries, adhering to service management principles.
