Mandatory Skills: Palo alto – 2 yrs, Fortigate, CISCO ASA,NIPS,DDOS

Responsibilities:

• Monitor network traffic and security systems to detect and respond to any unauthorized or suspicious activities, intrusions, or security breaches.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls to enforce network security policies, control access to the network, and block unauthorized traffic.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify network weaknesses and potential vulnerabilities.
• Develop and implement incident response plans to handle security incidents promptly and effectively, including containment, analysis, and remediation of security breaches.
• Implement and manage access controls, authentication mechanisms, and secure network protocols to ensure only authorized users can access the network and its resources.
• Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Perform regular audits and assessments to verify network security controls, identify compliance gaps, and recommend remediation actions.
• Manage and maintain security infrastructure, including intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), and other security devices.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees about network security threats, best practices, and their roles in maintaining a secure network environment.
• Document security incidents, investigation findings, and remediation actions taken, and generate reports for management, regulatory authorities, or internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• In-depth understanding of network protocols, architectures, and security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and authentication protocols.
• Familiarity with security tools such as network monitoring systems, vulnerability scanners, penetration testing tools, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
• Knowledge of industry security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Controls.
• Experience in incident response procedures, including identification, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Ability to assess security risks and vulnerabilities, perform risk analysis, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to investigate and resolve network security incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including presenting findings, writing reports, and providing security training.
• Industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Network Defense Architect (CNDA) are desirable but not always required.
