Responsibilities

  • The global CIB IT Continuity team coordinates the CIB IT continuity community in close contact with CIB IT Production, IT ADM, Business Continuity, Architects, Security and OPC teams. They also play a coordination and support role for IT to ensure the professionalization and operations of shared tools, methodologies and requirements.
  • CIB Region/Business line/Territory IT Continuity Officers (ICO) implement, coordinate, monitor and control IT Continuity for IT assets within their entity and collaborate with the global team as well as share and work with other ICOs.

Main activities

The CIB IT Continuity Officer (ICO) is part of the global CIB IT continuity team. He/she reports to the global CIB ICO and provides support to CIB CISOs.

He/she has the following responsibilities:

  • Assist ITRO or CISO for IT continuity steering
  • Ensure coordination with the Business Continuity Officer(s) to gather IT continuity needs stated by entities
  • Consolidate and maintain the list of critical IT assets of the entity, jointly with the Business Continuity Officers concerned
  • Deploy and maintain the appropriate IT continuity framework for existing IT assets (portfolio) and entity projects, IT Development and IT Production
  • Raise awareness and train players in his/her area of responsibility
  • Ensure compliance with IT continuity requirements
  • Account for collecting and recording compliance evidence
  • Monitor implementation of solutions chosen
  • Organize and monitor regular exercise plans
  • Prepare IT continuity reporting of the entity including results from exercises and controls
  • Provide Level 2 support to CIB community (BCO, ICO, CISO, ITRO,)

Professional Knowledge and Expertise

  • Expertise on IT Continuity (Disaster Recovery, IT Resilience) and IT architecture
  • Expertise on risk management principles (risk analysis, risk acceptance, exception request, remediation plan, )
  • Knowledge of the banking sector would be a plus
  • Good understanding of governance-related matters and familiarity with reporting principles
